Our Center's COVID Policies and Procedures

Our highest priority at Little Honors Child Care is to ensure the health and wellbeing of our children, families, and staff. We actively partner with local health departments and closely monitor the latest CDC and World Health Organization updates to ensure we are following the most up to date guidance.

Our policies and procedures include:

  • Temperature check upon arrival.
  • Hands are washed throughout the day and we emphasize the importance of hand washing as part of our daily curriculum.
  • Additional teachers and staff available.
  • Continuously disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles.
  • Rotate toys so that they can be sanitized more frequently.
  • Six-foot distance for games, arts, and crafts.
  • Six-foot distance between infant cribs.
  • PPE worn when necessary.
  • Ongoing teacher and staff training on enhanced precautions and preventative measures.
  • Suspension of family-style dining to reduce spread of germs at mealtime.
  • Practicing social distancing as much as possible.
  • Staying home when sick. If you or your child has a fever, you must stay home for 72 hours after symptoms subside.
  • Enhanced health screenings including quick questions before you drop your child off.
  • Longer drop-off and pickup times due to the health screenings and temperature checks.
  • Staggered drop-off and pickup schedules. We will check in with you regarding your normal routine and may ask for flexibility in order to avoid large gatherings.
  • Response protocols are in place. We collaborate with local officials to ensure we have procedures ready as the situation evolves.
  • Laundering bedding and stuffed toys nightly. We also request that you take your child's sheets, blankets, and plush items home nightly and wash them to limit germs.
